I don’t know when will I get the chance to direct actual movies with living people, but even this experience makes me understand both Stanislavsky and T.S. Eliot better: I use emotions the way a chemist would use a dangerous substance: I contain them, I operate them, I try to achieve my goals by dealing with them, but the emotions themselves are entirely external to me.
